The XL trim is the work-focused base model with 17-inch silver aluminum wheels. The XLT comes with additional features such as 17-inch gray wheels, LED taillamps, bed lighting, and fog lamps. It also offers an optional Sport Appearance Package. The LARIAT elevates the exterior styling with 18-inch machined aluminum wheels featuring dark pockets and LED projector headlamps for improved visibility. The Raptor stands out with its 17-inch gray aluminum wheels and all-terrain tires. The Raptor's body is nearly 3 inches wider than the standard Ranger, giving it an aggressive stance and improved off-road stability.

The 2024 Ranger offers three engine options to match different driving needs. The standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine delivers 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, available in the XL, XLT, and LARIAT trims. This engine achieves 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds when equipped with four-wheel drive. An optional 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 is available for XLT and LARIAT trims, producing 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor exclusively features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 generating 405 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. All engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2024 Ford Ranger demonstrates strong capabilities across its lineup. Rear-wheel-drive models can handle up to 1,805 pounds of payload, while four-wheel-drive versions manage 1,711 pounds. Most configurations can tow up to 7,500 pounds when properly equipped, though the Raptor's maximum towing capacity is 5,510 pounds. The available Technology Package adds driver-assistance features, while the Trailer Tow Package provides the equipment needed for serious hauling tasks. The FX4 Off-Road Package includes a Terrain Management System with multiple drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand. The Raptor adds specialized equipment such as front and rear locking differentials. Fuel efficiency ratings for the 2.3-liter four-cylinder with rear-wheel drive are 21 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

The 2024 Ranger's interior combines comfort with technology. A 10.1-inch touch-screen infotainment system comes standard, with an available 12.4-inch vertical touch-screen on higher trims. Higher trim levels can be equipped with a 360-degree camera system and enhanced active park assist. While specific National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ratings are not yet available for the 2024 model, the NHTSA is currently conducting crash tests as part of their 2024 model year evaluation program.
